For the grand opening of a new HomeSense store in Florida, I designed a large-scale wayfinding system that enhanced customer navigation while reinforcing brand presence. Collaborating with the Creative Director, I developed a high-impact billboard concept that optimized visibility, engaged shoppers, and created a bold first impression within the mall environment.

By analyzing spatial considerations such as viewing angles, traffic flow, and proximity, I crafted a signage system that maximized legibility and interaction. The final concept featured an oversized furniture image—strategically selected to serve as both a visual anchor and an engaging focal point. Positioned for maximum visibility, the design naturally drew foot traffic while encouraging social engagement through user-generated content.

This approach successfully transformed HomeSense’s mall presence into an intuitive, visually compelling experience that seamlessly guided shoppers while reinforcing brand identity.

Results & Impact

The final HomeSense wayfinding signage became a highly effective visual anchor, significantly increasing store visibility and foot traffic within the mall. Strategic placement and bold design elements not only guided shoppers seamlessly but also reinforced HomeSense’s presence as a standout retail destination.
